The Internet is a huge invention of the modern era

The world is constantly changing. Step by step we're moving forward. Twenty-five years ago the concept of Internet for many was something vague and distant. Today, the Internet is in every home, they know how to use and our young children and our grandparents. Moreover, it is available even in public places, due to such thing as public wifi.

But to use public wifi - you need to adjust it

All laptops and handheld computers now have built-in Wi-Fi.

If your computer has not interface Wi-Fi, you will have to buy a special Wi-Fi adapter. It can be purchased at any computer store or ordered on the Internet.

If your modem or router is not connecting at all, it may be defective. To test if your equipment is detective, insert the installation disc that came with your modem or router and reconfigure the settings. If it still will not connect to the Internet or your connection keeps dropping, contact the manufacturer or your Internet provider. If it is equipment from your Internet provider, you can trade it in for a new one. If it is a third-party router or modem, the item may be under warranty or the manufacturer may replace it for a lower cost.

Principle of operation Public wifi

Free public wifi enables organizations such as libraries, shopping malls, cafes and bars, can use the wireless Internet network an unlimited amount of time. But public internet access - it is using public wifi hotspots. Access point work with a specific password that a user enters on his own device.

These services may be free to all, free to customers only, or fee-based. A hotspot need not be limited to a confined location. The whole campus or park, or even the entire city can be enabled. Grassroots efforts have led to wireless community networks.

Apart from Wi-Fi, there have been experiments with proprietary mobile wireless networks like Ricochet, various high-speed data services over cellular or mobile phone networks, and fixed wireless services. These services have not enjoyed widespread success due to their high cost of deployment, which is passed on to users in high usage fees. New wireless technologies such as WiMAX have the potential to alleviate these concerns and enable simple and cost effective deployment of metropolitan area networks covering large, urban areas. There is a growing trend towards wireless mesh networks, which offer a decentralized and redundant infrastructure and are often considered the future of the Internet.

Public places with free wifi - is a great discovery, which can boast of the modern world.
